A phone camera built into your recording workflow
Creator Recorder connects your phone camera to its browser recorder. Your computer captures the screen and combines it with the phone video. You can switch between screen and camera layouts while recording, then edit and download the result.
This is a camera for Creator Recorder, not a system-wide webcam driver for Zoom, Teams or other apps. You do not need to install a phone app.
Get a more reliable connection
Try putting your computer and phone on the same home Wi-Fi. A direct connection may fail on some office, guest or mobile networks. If pairing fails, try another network or use your computer webcam.
A QR link is temporary. Keep it private and create a fresh one if it expires. The phone must stay connected while recording. Allow camera access and keep the phone awake.
Use it for tutorials, demos and lessons
Show a spreadsheet while explaining the numbers, walk through a website, or teach with slides and a camera view. Place the phone at eye level and face a light source. Your computer microphone handles the voice recording, so check its input before a long take.
The free recorder adds no watermark and has no fixed recording time cap. Your computer memory, browser and available storage still set practical limits. Free recordings are not saved to a cloud library: download each one.
Questions before you record
Does it work with iPhone and Android?
It uses the phone browser and camera rather than an installed app. Browser permissions and network restrictions can affect whether pairing works, so test your own devices before a long recording.
Can I use my phone as a webcam for other apps?
This feature connects your phone to Creator Recorder. It does not install a webcam driver or promise support in other video apps.
Do I need a paid plan?
Phone-camera recording is available in the free recorder. Cloud video storage and hosted sharing are planned Pro features, not included in this free workflow.
