No fixed cap does not mean infinite recording
Creator Recorder does not impose a fixed recording-duration limit in its free browser recorder. You can keep explaining instead of splitting a tutorial just because a plan caps it at five minutes.
Your device still matters. Recording and editing use your computer memory and browser resources. Long videos can be large and may fail if you run out of memory or storage, close the tab, or your device sleeps. Test a short clip first and use shorter takes for important work.
Free, no watermark, no installer
The recorder runs in your browser and does not add a Creator Recorder watermark to the export. You can include your webcam or connect your phone camera using a QR code, then choose the layout that fits your tutorial.
Browser screen-sharing permission is still required. Screen capture is a laptop or desktop workflow; the phone feature supplies a camera feed rather than recording the phone screen.
Keep your video before you leave
The free plan does not save recordings in a cloud video library. Download every finished video before closing the page, and keep a backup for work you cannot repeat. A hosted share link is not part of the free plan.
If you need a cloud library, quick hosted links and viewer engagement tools, a service such as Loom may fit better. Compare the free workflows before you choose.
Questions before you record
Is there a 5-minute recording limit?
Creator Recorder has no fixed 5-minute recording cap. Your browser, device memory and storage still limit what you can record reliably.
Can I record for hours?
There is no fixed duration cap, but we cannot guarantee a multi-hour recording on every device. Test your setup, keep it powered and consider shorter takes for important recordings.
Are my recordings saved automatically?
No. Free recordings are not stored in a cloud library. Download your video before leaving the recorder.
